It also made me happy when i realized that guitar hero has SO many classic spinal tap moments. The song "tonight im gonna rock you," that originated in the film, and is ON guitar hero i JUST realized was spinal tap LOL (just watched it for the first time tonight). And the best part of that? at the end of that song on guitar hero, THE DRUMMER SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTS HAH.
And in guitar hero I, on one of the loading pages they have the remark: "eleven IS louder than ten!"
turns out that is also from an amazing moment in spinal tap. ahhh
Lately, i've been thinking about leaving deviantART. I'm sick of the mean comments, I'm sick of the accusations of theft (i'm not even kidding you, people steal MY work, and then people think I'm the one who stole it), i think the front page features are usually loads of shit, and i'd say i get about....15 favourites a day, and not a SINGLE fucking comment. And i've noticed that all the favourites i get go to drawings i don't even care for anymore. basically, i'm extremely frustrated, and i can no longer call this website artistically legit when i see so much shit everywhere.
BUT. As frustrated as i am, i do love a lot of the people i've met on here, and its not worth me leaving to miss out on seeing their work and talking with them. In particular i would say

and QUITE a few others (you know who you are), who regularly comment on my work, have discussions with me are the people i stay for. and i reciprocate because i truly admire their artwork/ they're really interesting people. I really appreciate the mutual support we have for eachother, and i think its really cool that we've developed a friendship over this website 
But with all these messages bogged up, its hard for me to keep up with all the people i admire! I wish i could comment on everything and tell them how much i appreciate their support. But since thats near impossible, I guess i'm doing that through this journal! thank you!
I will try my best from now on, but i can't guarantee anything. I'm going to go through my watch list AGAIN, and make it smaller, and I'm going to do another deviation purge.

2. I know exactly what you mean about leaving dA. So many people on here are just astoundingly rude and I find myself not liking a vast majority of the artwork. It's as if people forget both the 'art' and the 'work' part before posting some nonsense. I'd leave in a second if it weren't for the few nice deviants. I suppose dealing with it is our price for art lol.

All that DA has been for me for a while is just a place where I can blog... because I don't really care for LJ or blogspot or whatever. On rare occasion, there's a nice comment that brightens my day, but usually my messages are faves- where there is no input about what they liked/disliked about the piece, which in it's own strange way is slightl disheartening. Browsing through art here has become beyond difficult and feels like it's a battleground... I don't come on DA to see people's lame webcam photos. I come on here to see art. And lately, I too have been turned off by all the junk that's since piled up onto DAs servers.
Some things here on DA really have gone down the shitter, but sometimes I find that if I take a break from DA or even the internet altogether it helps with my loathing at the time. So maybe just take a little break and not come online for a couple days/weeks?
But still, even if you do leave, I can still attack you IRL. So there. My two cents.
